Is Satan sifting you about your salvation? True born again children of God are saved forever and eternally secure but Satan will and does come to sift and confuse the born again. I am placing these verses here to encourage you and to remind you that your salvation is secure. I John (KJV) 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I Corinthians (KJV) 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Romans (KJV) 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. John (KJV) 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; (See that! He said, "eternal" life, e-t-e-r-n-a-l life. When God saved you, he gave you eternal life. Eternal life means forever, always, never ending! Eternal life does not mean you have eternal life until the next time you sin. It means forever, always, never ending. Now, even though Christians should strive never to sin, Christians do sin. Just remember, there has never been a perfect man but Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes, God saved you, you belong to God, but you are not perfect and will not be perfect until Jesus returns and probably 99.9% of Christians will fail from time to time and sin. If this is not the case, John would not have written, " My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world." (I John1:1,2) Now, you see, John was talking to Christians here and if Christians do not sin, why would we need an advocate with the Father? This by no means gives Christians the right to sin because every sin is very serious and sin that is not confessed and that is not covered by the blood of Jesus will be dealt with at the Great White Throne Judgment. There is only one penalty for sin; For the wages of sin is death; (Romans 6:23) The penalty is DEATH and Jesus paid it all and certainly the sins of Christians will not be taken lightly by God.) and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Ephesians (KJV) 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed (See that! When God saved you, you were sealed by the Holy Spirit! Nothing can change that!) unto the day of redemption. Philippians (KJV) 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: ( When God saved you, he began a good work in you and he will be performing that good work until the day Jesus Christ returns!) I Peter (KJV) 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.( Who are kept, kept, kept, never turned loose, never let go, never disowned, never unborn, but always, always, always, kept, kept, kept!! ) I John (KJV) 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Hebrews (KJV) 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. John (KJV) 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Ephesians (KJV) 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Do you realize that you did nothing, absolutely nothing to get yourself saved? But, you say, well, I did too! You say, I had the faith to come to Jesus and confess my sins and receive eternal life. No, you did not even have that faith. Do you realize that it was God's grace that placed enough faith within you for you to be able to believe God and accept the Lord Jesus? God promised......... Romans (KJV) 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. God has never broken a promise and he never will. |
