Have you ever read a book by R.A. Torrey?
Believe me, if you ever read a book by R.A. Torrey
you will find out what a Christian should be.  When I began
reading his books, I became horribly ashamed of myself 
because I realized that throughout all my Christian life, I 
had missed the mark.  And, sadly, I still have not measured up to what Mr. Torrey was but I want to be the Christian that he was.  I am never able to hold back the tears when reading his books. Mr. Torrey's books open the flood gate of God's light and that light shines down upon me and even I can see how unworthy I am. What a wonderful Christian Mr. Torrey was. Such a wonderful Christian, in fact, that every prayer he prayed was answered.  I do not know any Christian who will say all his/her prayers are answered, in the positive, (including mine.)  I wonder why that is?  As for myself, I must confess I do not pray enough, I do not love others enough, as Jesus would have me love others. I do not always put Jesus first even though Jesus put me first, even above his own life.  God forgive me.

I want to be a sweet, kind, gentle, compassionate, tender,
loving Christian for Jesus Christ, one who always puts Jesus first.  Please pray for me.
